The first selection on Lab '67, composed by Dan Haerle. Soloists are Mike Campbell, alto saxophone; Mike Heathman, trombone; Bill Stapleton, trumpet. In his description of the tune on the back of the album cover, Haerle writes:
"This piece employs the concerto grosso form of the Baroque period. A concertino group of three instruments is used against the ripieno which is, of course, the whole band. As in the concerto grosso, the three soloists play together as a group and individually.
"The piece is in one movement which is divided into three sections. Each section is devoted to one of the soloists and allows for extensive improvisation."
