Title
Swag's Groove
Description
The sixth selection on Lab '67, composed by Dan Haerle with a title that recalls "Bags' Groove," which was named for Milt Jackson's nickname "Bags." John Monaghan is featured as a bass soloist. On the back of the album cover Haerle further explains:

"This piece was written especially for the bass player, John Monaghan, whose nickname is 'Swags.' After a short introduction the tune is played by bass, piccolo, and muted trumpet. A short release leads directly into a long solo by Monaghan. A brief return of the tune ends the piece."
