Senate Bipartisan Meeting about the Civil Rights Act of 1964

This is a detailed log of a meeting of the bipartisan Senate leadership.  Also in attendace were representatives of the NAACP, labor leaders, and Assitant Attorney General Burke Marshall.  The meeting members debated the strategy for overcoming southern opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Senator Horn's log also represents the struggle the senate went through in order to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
