VAUGHNER, CEBORN "SEBE" (1861-1942):  Eugene Ceborn “Sebe” Vaughner was born to Manse and Mary Varner on October 20, 1861, in Chambers County, Alabama. Sebe’s father was born in 1830 in Georgia, and his mother was born in 1846 in Virginia. Sebe had one brother, Joe, about whom not much is known. Later, Sebe’s mother, Mary, married a man named Abraham Lyles and had Jennie (b. 1876), Mike (b. 1873), Martha (b. 1870), and Andrew “Anderson” (b. 1875) Lyles—Sebe’s half-siblings. In 1883, Sebe and his family moved from Chambers County, Alabama to Pilot Point, Texas where Sebe married Mary Ann Billingslea (b. 1863-d. 1951) a year later on December 15, 1884.
